About BOHStack & Our Methodology

BOHStack is written for independent restaurant, cafe and pizzeria operators in the United States and Australia who pick their own rostering, POS and food-costing software and live with the result on a Friday night.

How we evaluate software

• Primary sources first. Prices come from vendor pricing pages and award rates come from the Fair Work Ombudsman pay guides. Every article lists its sources and the date we checked them.
• We price the problem. Each review starts from a cost: penalty rates, card fees, portion creep. Our calculators show the formula so you can check the maths.
• We say what we tested and what we did not. When a claim comes from vendor documentation instead of our own hands-on use, the article says so.
• Scores are editorial. Affiliate commissions never move a score. See the disclosure.

Corrections

Rates and prices change, especially every 1 July in Australia. If you spot an out-of-date figure, tell us and we will fix it and note the update date.
